Nine locals take big step towards football dreams

Nine young footballers from George have been selected to attend the final assessment with the Stars of Africa Academy in Johannesburg later this year - a rare and life-changing opportunity.

The coaches and the crop of Georgians selected to join the Stars of Africa Academy's final assessment later this year.

The players were identified during a mini tournament hosted by Herald Fitness Gym in Thembalethu last weekend. This was the first time the prestigious Stars of Africa Academy sent coaches to George, thanks to the efforts of former footballers Sinenkosi Keyizana and Mvuyisi Ntozini, who now run Herald Fitness Gym at MM Mateza Primary School.
