Danny Dyer on his daughter's ideal wedding gift

DANNY Dyer admits he was not impressed with his daughter's dating choices... until she brought home the captain of his beloved West Ham United.

TV personality Dani, 29, married Jarrod Bowen last May. And while her actor dad didn't get to dance with the Hammers hero, he was a very proud father of the bride.

The 48-year-old says: "I did ask him for the first dance at the wedding. It did not go down well.

"I have had a few t**ts come through my door and you do have to wear it. I can't tell my daughter who to fall in love with.

"But the best present she could have given me was the captain of West Ham.

"So it was a beautiful day!"

Danny had a unique plus one for the wedding day - his Bafta, which he won for his performance as Lee in Sky comedy Mr Bigstuff. And the trophy made an appearance during his wedding speech.

He says: "I started by saying 'today is not about me... but... I pulled it out and it went down well."
