ANDY Robertson says the decision to shun January interest from Tottenham Hotspur and stay with Liverpool was his - insisting that talks over his future will remain private until a resolution is found.

Robertson was a surprise target for Spurs late in the transfer window and Liverpool were happy to listen to what their long-serving left-back wanted before an injury to Joe Gomez, at Bournemouth on January 24, depleted an already stretched defensive department further.

The call was taken for the Scotland skipper to stay on Merseyside and, speaking after Friday's 3-1 win over Wolves in the FA Cup, he revealed that the choice was his to make.
