PLANS IN FOR £200M CARBON CAPTURE PLANT

Application submitted to Flintshire council for scheme
OPERATOR of the Parc Adfer energy from waste facility in Deeside, Enfinium, has submitted plans for a £200m carbon capture investment at the plant.
Opened in 2019 in partnership with the five local authorities that make up the North Wales Residual Waste Treatment Partnership, Parc Adfer currently diverts up to 232,000 tonnes of unrecyclable waste from landfill.
Plans to install carbon capture at the facility were originally announced in April 2024.
