Hammer-wielding thug barged into man's home, threatening to kill his son

A DAD-OF THREE armed with a claw hammer barged into the lounge of a disabled man’s home, threatening to kill his son.
Adam Berry claimed David Davenport, the son of Christopher Davenport, owed him money, a court heard.
However, when Mr Davenport senior told Berry to get out of his home, he then smashed a window of the front door, with a piece of glass striking Emma Stocker - the partner of Mr Davenport junior, in the eye.
Berry (pictured) was told the police were being called and he then smashed windows on the car belonging to Mr Davenport, said Ember Jade Wong, for the prosecution.
Berry, 28, of Chirk Green, Chirk, admitted affray, assault and criminal damage, following the incident at around 8.15pm on March 16 and was sentenced at Mold Crown Court yesterday, where he appeared via videolink from prison.
Ms Wong said Mr Davenport senior was with his wife downstairs, watching TV in the living room, with Ms Stocker upstairs.
He heard the living room door open and saw Berry was standing there with a claw hammer.
Berry said: “Where is that f***ing son of yours? He owes me money. I'm going to kill him.”
