Burrow's MND centre opens as a lasting legacy

RUGBY league legend Rob Burrow's dream of a specialist centre for MND has become a reality, 17 months after his death.

The first purpose built facility dedicated entirely to MND care, research, education and holistic support in the UK opened its doors today.

The centre at Seacroft Hospital in Leeds was a dream project for the Leeds Rhinos great and his consultant Dr Agam Jung.

Rob, 41, lost his four-and-a-half-year battle with MND in June 2024, leaving his wife Lindsey, 42, and three children Macy, 13, Maya, nine, and Jackson, six, to continue his legacy.
