Bulgaria tops list for bargain short-haul breaks this summer

BULGARIA is the top spot for a bargain summer holiday, travel experts have calculated.

With January's peak booking season in full swing, website Travel Supermarket has compared week-long all-inclusive stays across popular destinations.

A holiday in Bulgaria will cost an average of £760 per person.

Following the Balkan country in second place was Morocco in North Africa, at an average of £852. And Mediterranean island Malta came third at £862.
