Actress conquering her anxiety is real win, says Shona's mum

FOR Shona McGarty's mum Jennifer, her trial triumph was only her second best I'm a Celeb moment.

Nol came during Shona's quiet conversation with Ruby Wax, when the EastEnders actress finally admitted how bad her anxiety had been... and was gently reassured that she was doing brilliantly.

Jennifer said: “I could see little Shona's face light up, as she thought ‘I am actually smashing this, I'm doing it. I am coping.’ Watching thousands of miles away from home, Jennifer added: “It was a weight off our minds. You can tell when she is smiling and if it is genuine.”

The moment mattered because Jennifer knows how troubled by anxiety Shona has been.
