Lawrence officer kid abuse pics

THE police officer who helped comfort the father of missing chef Claudia Lawrence has avoided jail after admitting possessing indecent images of children.

Disgraced officer Paul Beckwith, 53, pleaded guilty to three charges relating to the pictures and five counts of voyeurism.

But he avoided jail after his 14-month prison sentence was suspended for 18 months by a Judge at York crown court.
