Keating to rescue in shoot-out

MANCHESTER CITY needed a marathon penalty shoot-out to beat struggling Newcastle in the Women's League Cup.

City, who have won five of their six WSL games, conceded twice in the final ten minutes to leave the match deadlocked at 3-3 after 90 minutes.

Laura Coombs, Yui Hasegawa, and Gracie Prior had put City in a commanding position after Lois Joel gave Newcastle an early lead.
