Alvarez in spot of redemption

WHEN Real Madrid were planning their trip to face Kairat Almaty tomorrow, the numbers 4,000 rather than five would have probably been more on their mind.

Julian Alvarez scored twice on Saturday at the Metropolitano Stadium - the first significantly from a penalty (above) - as Atletico Madrid came from behind to stun derby rivals Real.

Now comes the 4,000-mile trip to Kazakhstan.
