The doting father and son...now lost to war

DEVOTED dad Vitalii Dolyniak cradles young son Davyd in a touching family photo, as it emerged the pair were among victims of a Russian missile strike.

The death toll from the attack on the Ukrainian city of Ternopil on Wednesday has now hit 31, as the bodies of two more children have been pulled from the rubble.

Friends paid tribute to Mr Dolyniak. Ivan Rudak wrote: "We still can't believe you are gone. How much you loved your girls... and how deeply you loved your boy."

With Mr Dolyniak’s widow and two daughters still in hospital due to the attack, Mr Rudak added: "Today it was heartbreaking to look into your mother’s and grandmother's eyes. But I could not bring myself to look into your girls' and your wife's eyes — they still do not know you are no longer with us."
