Navy fire 100-mile missile

A ROYAL Navy frigate has for the first time successfully fired missiles that can take out enemy ships more than 100 miles away.
The Plymouth-based warship HMS Somerset unleashed the Naval Strike Missile (NSM) during an exercise called Aegir 25 alongside Norwegian and Polish allies in Norway's Arctic rocket range.
The NSM travels close to supersonic speeds (Mach 1) and evades detection by skimming on the sea.
