King’s reunion with his Navy shipmates

Charles' salty tales on trip down memory lane

THE King was reunited with shipmates from his Navy days at a Buckingham Palace reception yesterday.

Charles, 76, was said to be “greatly looking forward” to the afternoon gathering, which he personally funded as a thank you for their “continued loyalty, laughter and support” over the decades.

More than 400 guests were invited, including friends and their partners from HMS Bronington, Jupiter, Norfolk, Hermione, Minerva, Hermes, Dryad and Fox as well as those from Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth, Devon.
