The 28-year-old said: “It’s been huge fuel for me. It’s difficult but I hate being the victim. I was never brought up that way and my mum and dad would hate that.

“I would never sit there and ask for pity and I actually struggle with sympathy at times with the way my mindset is.

“I never want people to feel sorry for me, the bit I want to get over is that through difficult times and adversity you can still fulfil your dreams.

I’m not saying there are never bad days, of course there are, but there is always good in the bad days.
