EDDIE HOWE claimed Barcelona's penalty on the stroke of half-time dealt his Newcastle side a decisive psychological blow.

Newcastle twice roared back before the break thanks to goals from Anthony Elanga as they threatened to cause a major upset in the Nou Camp.

But after Lamine Yamal converted from the spot deep into first-half added time, Barca emerged after the break to blow away the Magpies with four unanswered goals and end their Champions League journey.
