Home births on hold amid safety probe

A HOSPITAL trust has suspended home births for two weeks after staff raised safety concerns.

A statement said Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is struggling to cover the on-call home birth service at night without risking staff working after a full day shift.
