Former MPs quit Tories to join Reform

FORMER Conservative Party deputy chairman Jonathan Gullis has defected to rivals Reform UK. He is one of three ex-Tory MPs who became the latest to switch to Nigel Farage’s insurgent party.
Mr Gullis — beaten by Labour in Stoke-on-Trent North at the 2024 general election — warned the Conservatives have “lost touch” with voters. And he blasted his old party over immigration and net zero.
He said: “Leaving the Conservative Party after 18 years is not a decision I have taken lightly.
“Over time, I have watched a party I once believed in lose touch with the people it was meant to serve.
