Dashcam footage helps boost dangerous driver convictions

ALMOST a quarter of a million clips of dangerous driving have been sent to police since 2022, boosting convictions. But three in four drivers do not know they can submit footage to a nationwide road safety scheme called Operation Snap. Some 232,709 risky driving incidents - mostly recorded examples of careless or inattentive driving (63%) - were reported to police from January 2022 to May 2025 in England
