Cheers to an easier life

SOME people reckon the best job in television must be the kind where you make travelogues, jetting off to all kinds of colourful and far-flung exotic locations.

To me, that sounds exhausting. The air travel alone would do my head in.

Given the choice (which obviously I never will be), I'd far rather host the More4 series PERFECT PUB WALKS, which returns tonight (9pm). No horrid planes, no jet lag, no hellhole airports, no surly security blokes ordering you to empty your pockets and take off your belt so your trousers fall down. Just a stroll in the fresh air, a bit of a natter, a rewarding pint or two and then home in time for The One Show.
