This year's Turnip Prize winner - can you believe it?
Central Somerset Gazette
|December 11, 2025
The champion of this year’s spoof art accolade, the Turnip Prize, has been revealed - a flattened beer tin titled “Bitter & Twisted”.
-
The yearly competition serves as a parody of the prestigious Turner Prize, bestowed by the Tate gallery network.
The Turnip Prize goes to whoever produces what they consider terrible art with the most minimal effort imaginable.
It originated as a backlash following the 1999 Turner Prize nomination of an artist's unmade bed.
