More average speed cameras to be installed in safety push
Birmingham Post
|May 01, 2025
NEW speed cameras are to be rolled out on main roads across the West Midlands, it has been confirmed.
-
Police chiefs, the region's mayor and council leaders have agreed a road safety plan which will make greater use of average speed camera technology.
As a result, more cameras will be installed on roads considered to be priorities, and among the most dangerous.
This will likely include some of the busiest main roads, which carry most traffic and at faster speeds.
Exact locations for the latest rollout have yet to be revealed.
Police chiefs have been keen to add to the number of cameras on our region's roads for years.
