Woman fled from violent ex by climbing out of window

A WOMAN climbed out of her window to escape her violent ex-partner after he tried to strangle her.

The victim fled her property in Oldbury onto scaffolding and then to a neighbour to seek help.

But when she returned to her address Josiah Davidson was still there.

The 24-year-old resumed his attack on her and pulled out a machete, threatening to kill her.

Davidson, of Gilbert Road, Lichfield was jailed for three years and one month at Birmingham Crown Court.

He pleaded guilty to assault by beating, strangulation, threatening someone with a knife in a private place and possession of a prohibited offensive weapon in a private place.
