BUT CRIMINAL IS SPARED JAIL FOR NOW BY JUDGE

- CARL JACKSON Court Reporter

A NOTORIOUS criminal who sexually assaulted a woman on a train has been given until 2026 to convince a judge to spare him jail.

Temisan Oritsejafor wrapped his legs around his victim’s knees to trap her, groped her and warned he would ‘smash’ her if she called for help.

The 47-year-old from Alcester Road, Billesley also attacked a mental health nurse, racially abused police officers and exposed himself.

He pleaded guilty to sexual assault, assaulting an emergency worker, two counts of racially aggravated harassment and two charges of indecent exposure.

But judge Richard Bond spared him further imprisonment after acknowledging his ‘severe’ mental health issues contributed to his latest crimes.

He ordered a further pre-sentence report and deferred sentencing until January. He told the defendant to keep taking his medication and that he must abide by the care home rules where he lives.

Oritsejafor was jailed in 2020 for spitting in a female police officer's face amid the pandemic.
