Matt wants Wolves to race up home straight

WOLVES defender Matt Doherty insists it is all about momentum as the final furlong approaches in this season's Premier League.

With only three games to go, Wolves are well and truly safe following a record-equalling run of six top-flight wins in a row, which only came to an end with last Friday's narrow 1-0 defeat to Manchester City at The Etihad Stadium.

"I know we're still in the bottom half, we're still 13th, but that's not the point at the moment, the connection seems to be there, the energy is there, and the results are there," said Doherty.

"Obviously not against Man City, but the results have been there for the last six games. We're not going to lose confidence because of it, but we can understand that it was probably a game where, if we watch it back, we could have got something out of it.
