Landlord secures £100m for social housing upgrade

MIDLAND Heart Housing Association has secured a £100 million term loan from NatWest which will facilitate upgrades to existing social housing stock and to support new development.

Celebrating its centenary year, the business was established in 1925 and has since developed a portfolio of approximately 35,000 homes, providing quality services to around 70,000 customers, predominantly in Birmingham, Coventry, and Wolverhampton. This funding will be directed towards investing in Midland Heart's existing social housing stock, which includes pre-World War | properties. It is prioritising improvements to this stock.
