Freedom from obsession with material life needed to reclaim power

WITH wealth increasingly concentrated in the hands of the top 1% of the world's population and the disappearance of the middle class, the billionaires among this elite group are now able to employ enough agents to shape public opinion in their favour.

They use their influence to secure financial gains and crush any opposition - no matter how noble their views or how well-founded in international law and treaties.

Governments influenced or controlled by these billionaires often withdraw from international agreements and ignore previously adopted laws and treaties, simply because these agreements lack effective military enforcement.

We've all witnessed how powerless the United Nations has become, especially as it loses funding from wealth nations whenever billionaire interests oppose their national policies.
