Many actors find that, no matter how varied their résumés might be, there is always one role that people forever associate them with. That certainly rings true for Greta Scacchi.

Despite an illustrious career filled with many rich characters plus an Emmy Award, Greta, 65, will always be Josie's mum from Looking for Alibrandi to a certain generation of Australians.

Looking back on her involvement in the film, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, Greta says she knew they were onto something special before she'd even signed on.

"There are times in your career when you're being bombarded with scripts and it's rare to read one where it all just zings, but this one just flew off the page," she told the Daily Telegraph.
