Everybody dreams differently. Some dream of material pleasures, some of travelling through the world and some of ceasing time, heading to the mountains—in the lap of nature, under clear open skies. Similar was the dream of this Chandigarh citizen, Deepak Gupta, for whom the habitual travels to Kasauli in the late 70s to snow-capped mountains and traditional homes. Eventually, Amaya became his reality, designed by Bijoy Jain, Founder of Studio Mumbai. “I had always envisioned building a sustainable sanctuary in the Himalayas where one could escape to slow down and enjoy the beauty of the mountains and their crisp clean air.
