Bhuj is one of those places everyone believes they've already seen – in coffee-table books, on craft maps, in brand manifestos about handmade India. But being there is different. The noise, the pace, the rawness don't fit the curated frame. Travelling with Aadyam Handwoven, Aditya Birla's initiative for weaving communities, I saw a place defined less by preservation and more by persistence.
