Wendy Williams: A Shocking Diagnosis Sparks More Concern

Two days ahead of the premiere of Lifetime’s new documentary Where Is Wendy Williams? on Feb. 24, Williams’s care team made an unexpected announcement about her health.

On Feb. 22 they revealed in a statement that the television personality, 59, has been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). While they said “Wendy is still able to do many things for herself,” the conditions—the same ones afflicting Bruce Willis—“have already presented significant hurdles in Wendy’s life.”
