During the frightening ordeal, Luke McClish slurped creek water from his boot and ate berries to stay alive — while being stalked by a cougar!

The 34-year-old outdoors-man embarked on a three-hour hike from his hometown of Boulder Creek but got turned around when he couldn’t locate the usual landmarks, which had been wiped out by fires.
