‘I gave up work to tour in my van'

On trips to the seaside from our Birmingham home, Mum would challenge us to ‘see the sea’ first. It gave me a love of the coast that I’ve rekindled with my VW Transporter van, Ginnie.

In 2014, I was working in the publishing industry, travelling around Europe. It was a different city every week, but all I saw were airports and hotels. Feeling unhappy, I saved up and quit.
