Aberdeen plays host to this year’s Sports Personality of the Year awards ceremony, which will be presented by Gabby Logan, Clare Balding and Gary Lineker and shown live on BBC1. As usual, there’s a strong field in all categories, which include Coach and Team of the Year as well as the main prize, won last year by Tour de France winner Geraint Thomas.
