Drones are becoming increasingly popular in many industries. They're especially common for recreation and film-making. These small, light aircraft are operated remotely, without a human pilot on board. This means they can be perfect tools for search and rescue, surveillance and aerial photography. However, their capabilities have also been adopted as powerful tools of war. Without placing a soldier in danger, drones can fly over war zones and be used to spy on the enemy, drop explosives or detonate as explosive devices themselves.
