Repeat victims of anti-social behaviour can call for review

New scheme if 'concerns not dealt with'

VICTIMS of antisocial behaviour in Newcastle-under-Lyme can now demand a review if they feel their concerns have not been dealt with how they would like.

Case reviews are traditionally instigated via Staffordshire Police but they can now also be logged with Newcastle Borough Council in a first for the county.

Residents who have experienced three separate incidents, within six months, of previously recorded antisocial behaviour can trigger a review if they feel that their concerns have not been dealt with 'satisfactorily.

Council chiefs say the measure gives victims a say in the way that issues are resolved.
