Debenhams, which underwent a rebrand from Boohoo Group in March 2025, has announced its choice to retain the budget retailer having initially explored disposal options in August as part of a restructure.

The potential divestment came five years after Boohoo's acquisition of the outstanding 34% ownership from Umar Kamani, son of Boohoo’s executive chair Mahmud Kamani, and business parter Paul Papworth for more than £260m.
