NEWCASTLE United are due to announce the arrival of Spanish winger Antonio Cordero in what could be a busy June on Tyneside.

The 18-year-old is believed to have agreed a contract until 2030 and will officially become a Newcastle player next month.

The Magpies beat the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid to Cordero's signature and he will be welcomed by United staff at Benton this summer before a decision on a loan deal is made, with Ajax mooted as possible suitors of a temporary deal.

But Cordero's official confirmation is believed to be only the start of a flurry of activity at St James' Park.
