Final-day victory seals 'deserved' title for Yarm & Eaglescliffe Reserves

YARM & Eaglescliffe Reserves sealed the North Riding Premier Division title with a 3-1 victory away at Fishburn Park on Saturday.

The league victory caps off an impressive first season in the premier division for the reserves, which also saw them win the County Saturday Cup.
Knowing that at least a point would clinch the title, subject to Boro Rangers U23 winning by eight goals or less against Great Ayton, the reserves took early control and had a host of excellent opportunities in the first half. They should have been at least two goals up at half time but it remained goalless at the break.
