£350K GUIDE PRICE AS IT HEADS TO AUCTION
ONE of Middlesbrough town centre’s most prominent buildings is set to go under the hammer next month.
Savills Auctions have put a guide price of £350,000 on the former Debenhams building, which proudly stands on the corner of Newport Road and Linthorpe Road in the town centre.
The building was last sold in early 2024 for £650,000 to an unnamed property company, but has stood empty ever since.
Now, it is going under the hammer to the highest bidder.
The auction will take place on Wednesday, December 10, and interested parties are being urged to register their bid.
Savills has described the former department store as having "potential for alternative uses." It says it is in a prime location with businesses nearby and is a freehold property.
