Korean agency supports Cebu City's Smart Public Transportation System

Cebu City's push for smarter mobility just gained more international traction with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) expressing support for the city's Smart Public Transportation System.
KOICA representative Park Youngwook met with Mayor Nestor Archival last Monday to present the project's components, including eco-friendly buses, an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), and a dedicated ECO Bus Depot.
The mayor, according to the city's PIO, welcomed KOICA's assistance, emphasizing that easing traffic congestion and improving public transport are top priorities of Archival's administration.
The “KOICA Smart Public Mobility” assistance program provides grant aid and technical expertise to developing countries like the Philippines, specifically in the areas of urban transport and intelligent transportation systems.
