Former GP surgery could become new Lidl

FRESH plans have been lodged for a Lidl store on the site of a now former GP surgery.

Last month we reported that the demolition of the Great Sutton Medical Practice on Old Chester Road was likely to start in the new year.

A planning application for the demolition of the building had been submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council. It comes after the new state-of-the-art medical centre - located across the road from the existing site - became fully operational last month

As well as flattening the GP surgery, the old McColl’s store and flats above at 58-62 Old Chester Road are also earmarked for demolition as part of the redevelopment.
