City walls repairs reach milestone

THE repairs to Chester's City Walls at the collapsed section has reached a significant milestone, the completion of Stage 1, the stabilisation works.

Stage 2 of the project involves a series of carefully planned intrusive investigations.

This phase is particularly complex, as it includes carrying out trial pits and ground investigation works both adjacent to the City Walls and within the inner core.
