GATESHEAD showed their battling qualities once again as they earned a point in a six-goal thriller with National League rivals Aldershot Town.
With their dramatic comeback at Yeovil Town still fresh in the mind, Alun Armstrong’s men made the perfect start at the International Stadium as Kyle Hurst fired them in front inside the first five minutes.
‘The visitors found themselves in front at halftime as Kwame Thomas and Cameron Hargreaves turned the game on its head.
Hurst got Gateshead back on level-terms on the hour-mark with his second before Harry Chapman put Armstrong’s men in front for the second time just moments later.
However, Hady Ghandour grabbed an equaliser with just under 15 minutes remaining to ensure the spoils were shared.
