Modest grave marks final resting place of Midland star

HE’S one of the most famous singers the Midlands has ever produced - but never knew success in his lifetime.

Nick Drake only became a star after his death at 26 back in 1974.

He is buried in the picture-postcard village of Tanworth-in-Arden, near Solihull, where he lived.

Drake's music continues to influence artists 50 years later, with one of his-best known works, 1971's Northern Sky, most recently featured in new Steve Coogan film, The Penguin Lessons.
