Fourth generation of the BMW x3 SUV continues winning series for families
Sunday Mail
|August 17, 2025
BMW'S 3 series is legendary in the motoring world, beloved by petrol-heads, adored by design fans and coveted all over by drivers.
It changed the face of motoring, turning executive cars from big, boring and often in the garage to sexy, powerful and reliable.
So when the 3 series joined the rising numbers of SUVs on the road - recognised by the x in front of the number - it had a lot to live up to.
The first generation of the x3 SUV appeared in 2003 - yes, that long ago - and since then BMW has sold 3.5million so it can perhaps safely be said that the new car on the block has not let the side down.
Now welcome to the fourth generation of this car which keeps going from strength to strength as, quite simply, it gives drivers and families exactly what they need.
