CND want 'welfare not more warfare'

PEACE campaigners have penned their own "alternative defence review", warning that Labour's plans will divert cash from public services and infrastructure.

CND said Whitehall chiefs should invest in "welfare not warfare" and claimed UK Government priorities were "distorted".

In its blueprint, it called for a “radical break with successive UK governments’ failed security and defence policies”, with a focus instead on diplomacy and conflict prevention.
