Man was stopped on his way to commit 'appalling offences' on child

A MAN from Swansea travelled more than 200 miles planning to commit “appalling offences” against a child, a court heard.
Timothy Boorman, 60, began speaking to a child online before he travelled from his home in Killay to north Kent to meet the victim on August 13.
Officers believe he travelled the “considerable distance” planning to engage in sexual activity with the child but when he arrived he was intercepted by Kent Police officers and arrested before being taken into custody.
