White actors forced into re-education

WHITE actors in the new Brian Cox play from Scotland's national theatre company were told to attend misogyny and “anti-oppression” training while black performers were excused.

The head of the National Theatre of Scotland (NTS) has launched a review into the play, featuring the Succession star in a return to the Dundee Rep where his stage career began.

The training was intended to “examine how systemic inequality and discrimination manifest with a particular focus on anti-racism and anti-blackness”.

It would have explored themes “relevant to the production”, called Make it Happen and is set during the collapse of the Royal Bank of Scotland in 2008.
