NET CLOSING IN ON THUGS

UNDERWORLD figures behind the ongoing gang war engulfing Scotland have been told by the country’s top police officer: “We are coming for you!”
The pledge comes as the net appears to be tightening around the man suspected of beginning the feud that has caused mayhem across the nation.
Even though gangland Mr Big Ross ‘Miami’ McGill is in Dubai, recent events have shown the luxury resort is no longer a guaranteed safe haven for criminals.
Jo Farrell, Chief Constable of Police Scotland, was speaking as she gave an update on the investigation into the violent turf war.
It has seen numerous firebombings and drive-by shootings across the country, as well as several machete attacks, along with an elderly woman and a schoolboy being badly beaten.
Momentum
Ms Farrell told BBC Scotland: “We are working closely with the Crown Office and the National Crime Agency (NCA) to see if we can get those people back from those countries.
“These are not fast processes but we are working with the authorities there and the NCA have individuals in those countries.
“That’s our link in and we’re working very closely with them.”
Addressing those responsible directly, she vowed: “We are coming for you.”
